  • $48M 117,000 sq. ft. multi-use high tech facility including lecture theatres, classrooms, café, faculty offices and 400 space underground parking structure;
  • Retained by the University of Toronto to manage the Project from the outset, OPM has managed all user committees and related functional programming, the design process, value analysis, budgeting, the general contractor tendering process and construction activity;
  • To expedite the Project schedule, OPM separated the Project into its two significant entities – the parking garage and the main building permitting construction to begin on the foundations and parking garage while the construction documents were being completed for the main building;
  • This necessitated separate tendering of the two phases and separate general contracts. The handoff from the parking garage contractor to the building contractor occurred on schedule;
  • The parking garage is now complete and the main building is under construction with both phases of the project on budget and on schedule.
