  • This $48M 117,000 ft2 multi-use facility houses performing arts spaces, multi media labs and studios, lecture theatres, food services and cafeteria facilities, and faculty offices;
  • The building sits above a new 400 space underground parking garage that was constructed under separate contract in advance of the building. OPM was retained by U of T to provide full project management services throughout all phases of the overall project including the development of the parking garage;
  • This unique educational venue was designed to house extensive technology based learning systems and performance facilities. The interior fit out is designed to maximize the adaptability and flexibility demands of the academic programs that it houses. The MiST Theatre (Multimedia Studio Theatre) pictured here has a 148 seat flexible set up. The MiST Theatre is the home of UTM’s Theatre & Drama Studies Program and its performance company Theatre Erindale;
  • To expedite the project schedule to meet class commitments, OPM recommended splitting the project into two scopes of work that would allow construction to start on the underground parking garage while the design and contract documents were being finalized for the building above;
  • This strategic implementation focused on compressing the overall implementation schedule for the project and necessitated separate tendering of the two scopes of work requiring two different general contractors overlapping at site.
