  • Construction of a $15M 40,000sq. ft. science building incorporating new research labs, faculty offices, teaching labs, lecture halls and classrooms;
  • Project scope also includes partial renovation of the existing Science Complex as space vacated by uses moving into the new facilities are backfilled with other faculty uses;
  • This new high level teaching and research facility is arrayed around a central meeting place and creates a strong public link between the Science Complex and the Environmental Science Building;
  • OPM was retained by Trent University as Project Manager at the commencement of Construction Phase to rectify significant budget and schedule control problems;
  • The complexity of base building design has resulted in difficulty in the general contractor’s implementation of the project;
  • In conjunction with the Project Team, OPM has developed necessary contingency planning to meet project schedule and budget expectations.
