- 350,000 sq. ft. $72M multi-use facility including 80,000 sq.
ft. of high service genomics laboratory space, lecture theatres
(1,700 seats), classrooms, faculty offices and future provisioning
for relocation of the Intensive Care facilities from the adjacent
McMaster Medical Centre;
- OPM was retained by McMaster University to manage this project
through the extensive pre-construction stage and start up of construction
activity;
- OPM managed all user committees and the development of functional
programming, assembled the Project Team including construction
manager; managed the design process, budgeting, value analysis,
trade tendering and negotiation and construction start-up;
- The project was completed on budget and schedule and opened
in September 2004.
