- OPM was retained by UTM to provide project management services in its development of this $26.5M LEED Certified recreation, athletics and wellness project;
- This key Project functions as a central destination and gateway to the Mississauga campus;
- The Fitness Centre located on level One is comprised of an extensive and fully equipped fitness cardio facility. The Fitness Centre also caters to high performance team training with specialized equipment for strength and endurance training;
- The three lane running track is located at the mezzanine level overlooking the Fitness Centre;
- The facility contains a double gymnasium that is sub-dividable by a retractable curtain into two full gyms with individual basketball courts 88 ft by 49 ft in size and lined for College and International Basketball Federation competitions. When combined into one large gym the facility can accommodate a basketball court of 94 ft by 49 ft. In addition there is also a main court Volleyball set-up and badminton court set-ups all with flexible bleacher seating configurations;
- A key project feature is its 25m, 8 lane pool with moveable bulkhead and depth adjustable floor. The facility also includes a 12 person hot pool and a spectator viewing area;
- The project was successfully completed on schedule and budget.
